Job Description

Responsibilities

Lead a team of engineers responsible for developing and maintaining large scale application.
Design and implement highly scalable, interactive end user facing applications with high concurrency.
Design and implement backend application interfaces for data and services.
Support production support operation by actively working with Support, SRE, Infrastructure and other teams.
Collaborate with product owners, Architects, PMO and other stake holders to define software requirements that can be translated into user stories.
Ability to multi task and balance competing priorities from different stake holders.
Ability to drive the team to excel on software development best practices and methodologies.
 
Qualifications and experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
12+ years of software development experience
5+ years’ experience with Java, Springboot, Kafka and other open source frameworks and tools developing highly scalable applications.
5+ years of hands-on experience developing user interfacing web/mobile applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React Native or other web/mobile development frameworks.
Experience in Microservices architecture, Containerization, Native Cloud development using AWS services and API Management.
Experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores, preferably Oracle, DynamodB, Aurora and other AWS cloud offerings like Lambda, Step function so on.
Experience working on an Agile Environment with great collaboration skills.
Experience collaborating with geographically distributed teams delivering software across different Time zones.
Effectively partnering with global leaders to understand the vision and product roadmap and be a local evangelist for that vision and product roadmap.
Facilitate and ensure seamless communication with the local and onshore team members to create a well-functioning global "ONE" product team
Ability to establish relationships with business, IT leaders and technology subject matter experts.
Ability to lead and work closely with different teams, able to learn quickly, meet deadlines and demonstrate advance problem solving and analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills that include the ability to effectively communicate - written as well as verbal with technical and non-technical personnel, and confidence representing the team at senior leadership meetings.
