Job Description

The Data & Analytics Practitioner role is an opportunity to be part of the technology practices at Iris.  The candidate will also have the opportunity to collaborate with Client Partners at Iris to engage with Iris clients with practice presentations and technology solutions on Data & Analytics. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build competencies in Data & Analytics collaborating with Iris Practice Leaders and Delivery Heads.

  • Senior professional level role with hands-on enterprise level architect with deep experience in Data and Analytics technologies and on public cloud like AWS / Azure / GCP
  • Demonstrate expertise in Snowflake data modeling and ELT using Snowflake SQLWorking with event based / streaming technologies to ingest and process data
  • Working with other members of the project team to support delivery of additional project components (API interfaces, Search)
  • Evaluating the performance and applicability of multiple tools against customer requirements
  • Rapidly architect, design, prototype, and implement architectures to address solutioning of Data applications/ solutions for a variety of Iris clients and prospects
  • Build practice collateral – case studies, Point of Views (PoVs) on Data and Analytics, etc.
  • Perform additional responsibilities or special projects as assigned by management.

Professional Experience / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree / Master’s degree in a Software discipline and/or MBA is a plus
  • 13 -18 years of experience w.r.t. Data architecture, Implementation of large scale Enterprise-level Data Lake/Data Warehousing, Big Data and Analytics applications.
  • Professional with a background in Data and Analytics, should have led multiple engagements in Data & Analytics in terms of solutioning, architecture and delivery.
  • Should have excellent client interaction and presentation skills
  • Excellent English communication both written and verbal
  • Technology
    • Hands on experience in performance tuning and optimizing code running in Snowflake environment
    • Proficient in programming languages like Pyspark and Python
    • Good understanding of SQL, T-SQL and/or PL/SQL
    • For the above skill areas, must have lifecycle experience on some of the tools such as AWS Glue / Redshift / Azure Data lake / Cloudera / Informatica / Teradata / Netezza , etc.
    • Database experience and programming experience on Python/Java etc.

    • Required - Good experience and exposure in Financial Services – Investment Banking, Investment Management,
    • Desirable – Other: Insurance
