Job Description
Role Summary
We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong domain expertise in Repo Trading, Collateral Management and Securities Financing to support strategic Global Markets technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit and document business requirements for Repo trading (Bilateral & Sponsored), Collateral Management and Tri-Party services.
- Analyze and define cashflow lifecycle across repo trades, including opening/closing legs, interest calculations, margin movements, and settlement flows.
- Document margin-related cash movements (Variation Margin, Initial Margin) under UMR (Uncleared Margin Rules) framework.
- Work with Treasury and Operations teams to define liquidity, funding, and intraday cash position reporting requirements.
- Define functional specifications for
- Interest accrual & repo rate calculations
- Cash settlement instructions
- Reconciliation of trade vs cash breaks
- Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows and data mappings.
- Work closely with Front Office, Operations, Risk and Technology teams to translate business needs into functional specifications.
- Support SIT/UAT cycles and ensure regulatory & operational compliance requirements are met.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of Repo lifecycle (trade capture, settlement, margining, collateral substitution).
- Knowledge of Tri-Party Repo and Sponsored Member models.
- Analyze and define cashflow lifecycle across repo trades, including opening/closing legs, interest calculations, margin movements, and settlement flows.
- Understanding of UMR, initial/variation margin concepts.
- Experience with Capital Markets platforms (Calypso, Murex, Broadridge – Optional)
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in Custodian Banks / Investment Banks.
- Exposure to regulatory reporting & collateral optimization tools.
