Job Description for VAPT Senior Analyst

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) Specialist to join our cybersecurity team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of our organization's systems, networks, and applications to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses that could be exploited by malicious actors. The VAPT Specialist will then recommend and implement appropriate remediation measures to mitigate these risks effectively. This role requires strong technical expertise in cybersecurity, including knowledge of penetration testing tools, techniques, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on a variety of systems, including networks, applications, and infrastructure components.
  2. Identify and exploit security vulnerabilities to assess the effectiveness of existing security controls and mechanisms.
  3. Analyze and interpret assessment results to prioritize and recommend remediation actions based on risk levels and potential business impact.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, development, and operations, to implement security controls and measures that address identified vulnerabilities.
  5. Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including assessment reports, findings, and recommendations.
  6. Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and exploitation techniques to enhance the effectiveness of assessment methodologies.
  7. Provide technical guidance and support to other team members and stakeholders on cybersecurity-related matters.
  8. Participate in incident response activities, including investigating security incidents and providing expertise in identifying and mitigating threats.

Job Summary VAPT Senior Analyst

  • Willingness to undergo background checks and obtain necessary security clearances.
  • Availability to work outside of regular business hours as needed for assessment activities and incident response.

Job Info

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; relevant industry certifications (e.g., CEH, OSCP) preferred.
  2. Proven experience in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration tests in complex IT environments.
  3. Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, web applications, and cloud technologies.
  4. Proficiency in using penetration testing tools and frameworks such as Metasploit, Nessus, Burp Suite, Nmap, etc.
  5. Experience with scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and customization of assessment tools.
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
