Scrum - Senior Engineer

Job Description

• Embedded within the agile development team, Product Analysts serve as a day-to-day functional partner to Engineering and QA, helping resolve requirements questions and support delivery execution
• This is a multi-faceted role spanning business analysis, product design, user story ownership, backlog refinement, and shared Scrum Master responsibilities
• Perform hands-on business and functional analysis, including process mapping, workflow analysis, and clarification of business rules and edge cases
• Partner closely with the Product Manager to ensure requirements are understood, aligned to intent, appropriately prioritized, and translated into implementation-ready detail
• Be available for recurring collaboration with their Product Manager on a daily basis until at least 11:30 AM ET
• Be available for recurring collaboration with their Product Manager on a daily basis until at least 11:30 AM ETOwn user story writing for the development team, including clear acceptance criteria and supporting functional context needed for development and testing
• Lead and facilitate ongoing backlog refinement (grooming) with the development team to maintain a healthy, sprint-ready backlog and ensure stories meet readiness standards
• Perform product design activities to support delivery, including creating wireframes and mockups (e.g., Figma, Balsamiq, or similar tools) to communicate user interactions, workflows, and proposed UX changes
• Apply strong user experience judgment to ensure solutions are intuitive, efficient, and consistent—balancing usability with operational realities and technical constraints
• Experience working on both web applications and mobile applications, including internal operational tools and external/public-facing user experiences
• Have foundational technical literacy (basic SQL, API design concepts, and event-driven system architecture patterns) sufficient to participate in system design discussions and communicate effectively with the development team
• Share Scrum Master responsibilities with the Development Team Lead to ensure agile ceremonies are consistently executed (standups, planning, review, retro) and that impediments, blockers, and dependencies are identified and driven to resolution for their Scrum team
• Strong AI utilization is a core requirement, including regular use of AI tools for requirements drafting, user story refinement, acceptance criteria generation, process/workflow modeling, meeting summarization, backlog grooming assistance, and analysis acceleration; candidates must be able to demonstrate how AI is embedded into their day-to-day product analysis and agile execution practices.
