Position Overview

We are seeking a Python Data/Application Tester with strong experience in testing Python applications during their implementation and creation phases. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in automation testing, ensuring that applications are robust, scalable, and meet quality standards. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can design, execute, and maintain automated test suites while collaborating closely with developers and product teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand application requirements and design effective test strategies.
• Test Python applications during implementation and creation phases to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automation test scripts using Python-based frameworks (PyTest, unittest, etc.).
• Validate APIs, data flows, and integrations across cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Identify, document, and track defects; work with developers to resolve issues.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy in applications involving data processing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a tester for Python applications (involved in implementation/creation phases).
• Strong knowledge of automation testing frameworks (PyTest, unittest, Selenium, Robot Framework).
• Experience in testing APIs, web applications, and backend services.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to data engineering projects and validation of ETL/data pipelines.
• Working knowledge of front-end testing and understanding of how websites function.
• Familiarity with streaming and batch processing frameworks (Kafka, Spark, Flink).
• Understanding of Change Data Capture (CDC) and micro-batch processing testing scenarios.
