Project - Associate Manager

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead project independently (Fixed and T&M) in the area of software development, maintenance and support including AMS.
• Take end to end responsibility for customer satisfaction, contract fulfilment and project profitability.
• Manage scope of the project/services, incident /tickets trends during its execution including change requests.
• Communication with stakeholders during the life of the project
• Perform to organization norms on metrics for development and AMS projects
• Manage relationships with clients
• Develop statements of work (SOWs) for new projects
• Identify and manage risk during the project life
• Create a motivated high performance team
• Give formal and periodic feedback to individual team members
• Ensure software engineering guidelines and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

Qualifications - External

• 10 to 14 years of exp in IT with 2-5 years of Project management experience
• Experience in project management for development projects using agile-scrum methodologies, estimation,  conducting various scrum ceremonies like Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective
• Experience in project management for AMS projects, tracking trends, proactively analysing the volume, repeatable tickets, perform RCA and implement measures to reduce repeatable issues, create and maintain rosters and help / team to remove impediments by finding the right resources/tools/process/technology to remove the impediment
• Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, empowerment, and increasing transparency
• Knowledge of various performance metrics for both development and AMS projects
• Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools: JIRA, Service now, Greenhopper, TFS, or equivalent, Microsoft Project, VSS, Sonar cube, Fisheye, Jenkins, and all Office Tools
• Ability to proactively call out issues and risks and provide solutions
• Consultative & Solution-oriented - Ability to propose design and development approach.
• Understand and appreciate solution frameworks and architectures
• Prefer developer background, tech savy
• Support presales initiatives in estimation
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
