Job Description

Primary Skill(s): Playwright Test Automation Engineer

• As a Test Automation Consultant with 5-7 years of experience and a strong background in Playwright Test automation
• Responsibility to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
• Playwright Test Automation expertise is mandatory and ability of driving automated testing strategies, optimizing testing processes, and mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Automation Strategy: Develop and implement automated testing strategies that align with project goals and quality standards.
• Test Framework Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust test automation frameworks using Typescript, ensuring reusability and low maintainability.
• Test Script Creation: Write, review, and enhance automated test scripts to cover functional, regression, and integration testing scenarios.
• Test Execution: Ability to record & play and execute automated test scripts, analyze results, and report defects to the development team. Monitor and maintain test environments to ensure consistent test execution.
• Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, working collaboratively with development and DevOps teams to ensure timely and reliable test execution.
• Test Data Management: Manage test data setup and ensure data consistency for different testing phases.
• Defect Tracking: Identify, document, and prioritize defects using issue tracking tools. Collaborate with the development team to ensure timely defect resolution.
• Performance and Load Testing: Contribute to performance and load testing efforts by creating automated tests to validate system responsiveness and stability.
• Test Reporting: Generate comprehensive test reports and metrics for various stakeholders, highlighting test coverage, results, and areas for improvement – by logging details in Jira.
• Test Process Enhancement: Continuously enhance testing processes and methodologies to increase efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, helping them develop their automation skills and best practices.
• Stay Current: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging tools, and technologies related to test automation, and suggest improvements to the existing testing practices.
• Nice to have: Exposure to any of the cloud computing platform (Azure \ AWS \ GCP)
