Job Description

Seeking experienced Automation Engineers to develop and support Python-based automation solutions that enhance Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) processing, operational efficiency, and application support activities. This role will focus on reducing manual effort, improving data quality, and streamlining recurring support and operational workflows within OTM environments.
Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Python-based automation scripts and frameworks supporting Oracle Transportation Management (OTM).
  • Automate recurring operational and support processes, including data validation, shipment processing, notifications, and exception handling.
  • Integrate automation solutions with OTM interfaces, APIs, database extracts, and file-based exchanges.
  • Support production OTM environments by automating monitoring, reporting, and incident-response activities.
  • Partner with application support, operations, and business teams to identify automation opportunities and implement scalable solutions.
  • Ensure automation solutions follow RXO security, compliance, and operational standards.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for automation scripts and processes.
  • Provide support for existing automation and assist with troubleshooting production issues.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with Python for enterprise automation.
  • Experience working with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) or similar transportation/logistics platforms.
  • Familiarity with OTM data models, interfaces, and batch processing.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, SFTP, file processing, and database interactions.
  • Strong understanding of production support processes, incident management, and operational SLAs.
  • Ability to write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting OTM in SaaS and/or on-prem environments.
  • Exposure to supply chain, logistics, or transportation operations.
  • Experience working in ITIL-based support environments.
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools, job automation, and monitoring frameworks.
  • Experience collaborating with offshore/onshore support teams.

  • Production-ready Python automation scripts and tools.
  • Documentation and operational runbooks.
  • Support transition artifacts and knowledge transfer materials.
