Job Description
- Must haves: Java(preferably version 17), Spring Boot, AWS Services(EC2, Redshift, DynamoDB), Microservices, SQL, REST APIs
- Nice to have: Unix Scripting, Spark, ETL, Git, AWS(IAM, S3, Redshift), CICD, Spring Cloud, JUNIT
Essential Job Functions:
- Work with the Architecture team to define the solution and the deployment architecture in AWS using common patterns (microservices, event driven/serverless architectures, choreography, etc.)
- Work with the product development team to deliver full stack solutions in short cycles with frequent releases
- Deliver testable, maintainable, and high-quality code and take operational responsibility for your work
- Stay updated with emerging trends in cloud software development
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Min 6-8 years of relevant experience in software development
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
- Working experience with a variety of data persistence from large relational databases like Redshift, No SQL DynamoDB, or simple S3 persistence
- Proven success in designing, coding, and implementing scalable software solutions in AWS
- Expert level proficiency in Java, Spring Frameworks, Junit, XML, JSON
- Strong experience in web service development (RESTful/json)
- Proficiency in RDS, MySQL
- Experience with Git
- Experience with UNIX
- Experience in using Collaborative tools (Jira/Confluence) for task management, breakdown, estimation, and tracking
- Basic idea about data processing frameworks
