Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer with strong expertise in Python and Java to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications. The candidate should have hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native development, along with a good understanding of secure development practices and vulnerability management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services using Python and Java.
  • Develop and integrate REST APIs and backend components based on business and technical requirements.
  • Build and deploy applications using AWS services and cloud-native technologies.
  • Follow secure coding practices and support vulnerability identification, remediation, and management.
  • Work with distributed systems and large-scale data processing where required.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and release activities.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and contribute to performance, reliability, and production support.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions within timelines.

Must-Have Skills

  • 6–8 years of backend development experience.
  • Strong hands-on programming experience in Python and Java.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-native application development.
  • Good understanding of secure development practices and vulnerability management.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Knowledge of Big Data and distributed systems.
  • Exposure to data processing frameworks and large-scale data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD workflows.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and application observability tools.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have strong backend development fundamentals, hands-on cloud experience, and the ability to work independently on complex technical problems. Experience in banking/financial services would be an added advantage.
