Job Description

Mandatory Skills: Amazon IAM, Networking & Connectivity (Amazon VPC + Amazon Route 53 + AWS Direct Connect), EC2 + Auto Scaling + Load Balancing, Amazon API Gateway, AWS SNS, AWS S3 + Amazon Aurora + DynamoDB, ECS + Terraform, EKS + Terraform, ECS + CloudFormation, EKS + CDK

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the enterprise AWS cloud strategy by aligning cloud adoption, migration, and modernization initiatives with overall business objectives, digital transformation goals, and long-term technology roadmap.
  • Architect large-scale, distributed, and cloud-native systems on AWS by leveraging services such as EC2, Lambda, EKS/ECS, S3, and event-driven architectures, ensuring scalability, resilience, high availability, and performance across global environments.
  • Establish and enforce governance frameworks, architectural standards, security policies, and reusable cloud patterns to ensure consistent, secure, and optimized AWS adoption across multiple programs and business units.
  • Lead and oversee multiple cross-functional teams delivering complex cloud transformation initiatives, including legacy system migration, re-platforming, and cloud-native application development.
  • Drive adoption of advanced AWS capabilities such as serverless computing, containerization, microservices architecture, event streaming, and AI/ML services to enhance system agility and innovation.
  • Define, track, and continuously improve key performance indicators (KPIs) including cost optimization (FinOps), system reliability, deployment frequency, latency, and operational efficiency across cloud platforms.
  • Ensure enterprise-wide compliance with security, regulatory, and data governance requirements by implementing robust IAM policies, encryption standards, audit logging, and risk management frameworks.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects, business stakeholders, and leadership teams to align cloud strategy with business priorities, ensuring measurable outcomes and ROI from cloud investments.
  • Drive innovation in cloud engineering by promoting automation, DevSecOps practices, platform engineering, and adoption of modern architectural patterns.
  • Build, mentor, and scale high-performing cloud engineering teams by fostering technical excellence, innovation, and a strong ownership mindset across the organization.
  • Lead critical architectural and technical decision-making, ensuring long-term scalability, sustainability, cost efficiency, and resilience of enterprise cloud platforms.
