Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
● Business Analysis & Requirement Management:
○ Act as a lead liaison with business stakeholders (including Risk Partners) to meticulously elicit, analyze, and document comprehensive business requirements and user stories for credit risk initiatives.
○ Collaborate with Risk Managers to define Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and functional specifications for EWS and DP, covering both quantitative (e.g., financials) and qualitative (e.g., market news) triggers.
○ Translate complex credit risk trigger logic and business rules into clear, actionable, and detailed specifications (e.g., BRDs, FRDs) for technical and development teams.
○ Collaborate to identify and define critical credit risk triggers, breaches, and monitoring parameters.
● Credit Risk & Regulatory Expertise:
○ Actively analyze, enhance, and monitor applications designed for customer portfolio surveillance, tracking compliance, identifying potential risks, and escalating concerns to appropriate channels.
○ Monitor portfolio performance to proactively identify potential defaults and collaborate with upstream teams and operations to address or fix identified gaps.
○ Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends in borrower behavior, cash flow, and covenant compliance.
○ Ensure all developed solutions and product features adhere strictly to Indian regulatory guidelines and audit mandates related to credit and lending.
○ Ensure all early warning systems comply with internal policies and regulatory guidelines (e.g., Basel II/III/IV, IFRS 9).
● Product Development & Enhancement:
○ Partner with technology teams to design, test, and implement automated early warning systems, dashboards, and reporting tools.
○ Contribute to the successful development and enhancement of critical credit risk platforms from conceptualization to deployment.
● Data Analysis & Integrity:
○ Work closely with business stakeholders to analyze data, identify gaps, define data requirements, and ensure data integrity for credit risk reporting, trigger analysis, and regulatory submissions.
○ Contribute to the development of robust reporting mechanisms and conduct thorough risk assessments to support informed decision-making and regulatory compliance.
● Collaboration & Testing:
○ Liaise effectively between Credit Risk, Technology, Data Science, and Front Office teams to ensure seamless integration of risk monitoring tools.
○ Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and post-production validation of system enhancements.
Required Skills & Experience:
Experience:
○ 10+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst within the financial services domain.
○ Demonstrable experience working on lending/credit products, specifically from a product development or enhancement perspective.
○ In-depth, hands-on experience and expertise with Early Warning Systems (EWS) and Drawing Power (DP) in a credit risk context.
○ Minimum 3-5 years of specific experience in Credit Risk Management, with a focus on portfolio monitoring, credit analysis, or risk analytics.
○ Experience working in an agile development environment.
