Business Analyst - Intern

Job Description

• 5+ years relevant experience in Business Analyst role dealing with ETL and large volume of data
• Past development experience with technologies like AbInitio, Hadoop, Hive to reverse engineer code to business requirements
• Proficient in SQL, MS Excel for data analysis. Comfortable with writing complex SQL queries
• Sound product knowledge – Capital Markets – Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives, SFTs, Margin Loans
• Domain knowledge – Risk & Regulatory
• Experience of data-driven storytelling - Proven ability to explain data analysis, insights and capabilities to audiences from diverse technical backgrounds.
• Expert in data sourcing – Liaise with data source owners to understand available data sets, define regular data extracts to facilitate manipulation/analysis within the appropriate tooling.
• Expert in translating high level use cases into crisper business requirements
• Ability to review, drive and track project deliverables from initiation through to completion, including accountability for escalation of risks to stakeholders
• Quick learner; strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deal with numerous tasks simultaneously and with frequently changing priorities
• Provide support to Project and program managers, development and QA teams maintaining focus on expected delivery outcomes for each business case
• Working with the business to determine and document clear and concise business requirements
• Be able to identify, quantify, plan and control all business analysis related activities
• Can work independently with minimum supervision
• Solid track-record as a process driven business analyst supporting the full development lifecycle for global projects
• Good understanding of lean/agile methodologies and tools
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and presentation skills.
