Job Description – Transport Lead (Third-Party Contractual)

Position: Transport Lead

Location: Sector 142, Noida

Employment Type: Third-Party Contractual

Working Days: 6 Days a Week

Transportation Benefit: Subsidized cab facility available as per company policy.

 

About the Role

 We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic, and service-oriented Transport Lead to manage end-to-end employee transportation operations for our IT organization. This role requires ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective transport services while delivering excellent employee experience. The incumbent will manage employee transportation, client transportation, spot rentals, transport vendors, transport executives, MIS reporting, billing coordination and continuous process improvement initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

 Manage day-to-day employee transport operations including regular shifts, ad-hoc requests, and emergency transportation.

  • Coordinate transportation for clients, visitors, and senior management.
  • Manage spot rental vehicles based on operational requirements.
  • Lead and supervise a team of 3–4 Transport Executives.
  • Manage transport vendors, monitor SLA compliance, and conduct periodic reviews.
  • Verify vendor invoices and coordinate timely submissions to Finance.
  • Maintain transport MIS including utilization, budget vs actual, billing status, dashboards and management reports.
  • Respond promptly to employee transport requests and emails.
  • Drive initiatives on driver training, safe driving, employee safety and statutory compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and cost optimization.
  • Knowledge of Transport Automation

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Graduate in any discipline.
  • Diploma/Certification in Logistics, Supply Chain or Transport Management is desirable.

 

Experience 

  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in employee transport/fleet operations.
  • Minimum 2 years of team-handling experience.
  • Implementation of transport automation.
  • Experience in IT/ITES/BPO/corporate environment preferred.

  • Transport service quality and employee satisfaction.
  • On-time vehicle availability.
  • Vendor SLA compliance.
  • Billing accuracy and timely invoice processing.
