Job Description

  • Lead discovery with C&IB, Operations, Data and Technology stakeholders to define business problems, data requirements and priority use cases.
  • Analyze and document current-state data flows, source systems, business processes, data gaps, quality issues and dependencies.
  • Develop target-state process flows, data models, data lineage, business rules, data dictionaries and requirements artefacts.
  • Facilitate workshops and create clear visual artefacts including workflow diagrams, process maps, data-flow diagrams and decision models.
  • Partner with data architects, engineers and product teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
  • Help establish BA standards, reusable templates and effective ways of working for the new C&IB Data Strategy capability.
  • Operate independently in an ambiguous environment, build stakeholder confidence and drive workstreams from discovery through delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of Business Analysis experience, including substantial experience in data, technology or transformation initiatives.
  • Strong C&IB / Transaction Banking domain experience; Payments or Cash Management experience is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in data aggregation, data mapping, source-to-target analysis, data lineage, data quality and business data modelling.
  • Ability to analyze complex business and data ecosystems and translate them into clear, structured requirements and delivery artefacts.
  • Strong process-modelling and diagrammatic skills: current/future-state workflows, data-flow diagrams, system context diagrams and operating-model flows.
  • Experience working closely with data architects, engineers and technology teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills, including engagement with senior business and technology stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and comfort analyzing data sets and data structures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to create concise, decision-ready documentation.
  • Willingness to work from NAB’s Gurugram office at least 3 days per week.

Good to Have

  • Knowledge of payment lifecycles, including initiation, validation, routing, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, exceptions and investigations.
  • Exposure to ISO 20022, SWIFT or payment messaging standards.
  • Experience in banking data governance, critical data elements, data controls, privacy or regulatory reporting.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms, data lakes, warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, APIs or modern data architecture.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, Power BI/Tableau, Collibra or Alation.
  • Experience working in Agile or large-scale banking transformation programs.
  • Relevant certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, DAMA/CDMP, Agile or Payments certifications.
